Health Risk Assessment

In order for a wellness program to be successful, it must begin with a Health Risk Assessment. The Clinix HRA is a two-page questionnaire that can be taken on-line or with pen and paper. Its questions gather important information regarding the individual’s current health status, lifestyle choices and family history. When combined with a Health Fair/Screening, it becomes an invaluable tool for charting the course your wellness program should take.

Health Fair/Screening

A Clinix Health Fair/Screening can be held at your place of business. We utilize a biometric screenings that require just a simple finger prick. This allows the clinician to provide immediate results to the participant and, if results are abnormal, presents an opportunity for immediate counseling with a registered nurse. This screening includes tests for:

• Total Cholesterol
• LDL (Bad Cholesterol)
• HDL (good cholesterol)
• Triglycerides
• Glucose

Other on-site screenings with immediate results include:

• Blood Pressure
• Body Mass Index (BMI)
• Body Fat
• Waist Circumference

In addition, testing can be done on-site, with follow-up results for:

• High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein: This is an inexpensive test to determine the risk of coronary events, such as heart attack and stroke.
• Vitamin D Deficiencies: Vitamin D assists in the absorption of calcium, promotes bone density and protects against a number of serious diseases. A deficiency can be the result of diet and/or a lack of sun exposure.
• Thyroid Issues: Because symptoms appear gradually, thyroid problems are historically under diagnosed, despite their pervasiveness.
• Stool Blood: An easy, inexpensive test that employees can perform at home. Test can lead to early detection of bleeding ulcers, hemorrhoids, polyps, colitis, diverticulitis, fissures and colon cancer.
