Olga Magyar, BSN, MSA, CPHQ - President and CEO/COO
Olga Magyar has nineteen years of acute care hospital experience, including nine years as the Vice President responsible for coordinating and directing the quality monitoring, loss control, claims management, utilization management and infection control programs. For the past five years she has served as the Executive Director of ETHIX Midlands, a managed healthcare review company. She is a recognized resource to develop clinical patient monitoring systems that effectively improve patient clinical outcomes. She has extensive experience overseeing organizational compliance with multiple types of review agencies. Ms. Magyar has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, a Masters of Science in Health Administration and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
Dr. Gerald E. Silverstein, M.D. - Medical Director
Gerald Silverstein is the National Medical Director of CLINIX. He has over twenty-five years experience as a practicing Internist and over fifteen years experience in medical administration in managed care organizations. He serves as an Accreditation Surveyor for the National Committee for Quality Assurance and the AMA CPT Editorial Panel. He previously served on the HIAA-Advisory Committee on Health Care Technology and as the Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer for NYLCare Health Plans of the Midwest, Inc. Dr. Silverstein was the Associate Corporate Medical Director of NYLCare Health Plans until 1998. Sanus Health Plan of Illinois, Celtic Life Insurance Company, KPMG-Peat Marwick, Health Dynamics, Inc. and Maxicare Health Plans are some of the many managed care plans or insurance companies for whom Dr. Silverstein has served as the Medical Director or a consultant. Dr. Silverstein has expertise interpreting health insurance benefits and contracts as they apply to medical review functions.
Dr. Paul A. Willette, D.O., FACEP - Medical Officer
Paul Willette is an emergency physician who has eleven years of clinical experience. He was trained at Akron General Medical Center in adult emergency medicine and Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron in pediatric emergency medicine. His trauma training was at the renowned Shock Trauma Unit of the Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services - University of Maryland. He currently is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Ohio University and is the Assistant Residency Director of Ohio University -Doctors Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Columbus, Ohio where he develops the educational programs and rotations. He is board certified through ABEM and ABOEM and holds active fellow status through ABEM.
Dr. Willette is on the editorial advisory board for Emergency Physicians’ Monthly contributing to many educational and CME activities. Dr. Willette is a Physician Advisor for KePro where he reviews and investigates many of the quality care concerns for Ohio’s Medicare beneficiaries. He also is an expert reviewer for Hayes Plus, an independent medical review panel. He also performs medical legal case review. Dr. Willette is pursuing an advanced degree through the American College of Physician Executives.
